The Global Cancer Care Foundation (GCCF) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit determined to provide superior treatment to cancer patients in underprivileged countries — while advancing the research and education that make better care possible. Their original website was an ageing, hard-to-maintain PHP build that no longer reflected the credibility of a global cancer charity backed by leading surgeons. We rebuilt it from the ground up into a fast, secure, modern Next.js platform with a warm, trustworthy editorial design language. Key sections include: • A cinematic full-bleed hero with rotating imagery and a clear path to donate • Three pillars — Health Services, Education, and Research, with bespoke photography • "Our People" — Scientific Advisory Committee, Advisory Board, and Board of Directors: 27 surgeons and leaders, each in an auto-scrolling showcase • Ways to get involved, and a streamlined donation flow • A warm cream-and-deep-green palette with serif editorial headlines, built for trust

The Challenge

The second of the two foundation sites handed to us straight after SFUN News: an ageing, hard-to-maintain PHP build with security concerns, left with a previous webmaster who had stopped responding — no longer matching the standing of a global cancer charity led by world-class surgeons. They asked for a complete redesign and updated content: fast, secure, trustworthy, and easy to learn, get involved, and donate.

Our Solution

We rebuilt GCCF on a modern Next.js stack with a warm editorial design system: a cinematic full-bleed rotating hero, auto-scrolling sections for the 27-strong board and advisory bodies, clear Health / Education / Research storytelling with bespoke imagery, and a frictionless donate flow — fast, responsive, accessible, and deployed on Vercel.
