SPEC WORK — A BRAND THAT DID NOT EXIST

ZUMVIRA Kitchen Cleaner

AI Video2026

A cleaning-products manufacturer asked to see a finished commercial before commissioning one. We had nothing in that category, so we invented the product: ZUMVIRA, a kitchen grease cleaner — the name, the bottle and the label all designed from scratch — and shot a full thirty-second television commercial for it. Deliberately not a real brand, so nothing in the film borrows anyone else's product.

• The brand was originated here — name, bottle and label, none of it existed before

• One presenter across six cuts — same face, same kitchen, same daylight, shot to shot

• The closing line is lip-synced to camera — spoken on screen, not dubbed over a still

• A single cloned voice carries every line in the film

• English captions burnt in — written to sell with the sound off

• A demo, honestly labelled — a sample film, never passed off as a client campaign

The challenge

A cleaning-products manufacturer asked to see a finished commercial in their own category before commissioning one, and we had nothing in that category to show. Showing another client's film would have answered a different question. The only honest answer was to make the commercial they were asking about — without borrowing a real brand, a real bottle or anyone else's claims.

Our solution

We invented the product first: ZUMVIRA, a kitchen grease cleaner, with its name, bottle and label designed from nothing. Then we wrote and shot a thirty-second commercial for it the way we would for a client — one presenter cast from a generated still and held across six cuts in the same kitchen and daylight, one cloned voice for every line, the closing line lip-synced to camera, and English captions burnt in so it sells with the sound off. It is labelled as spec work everywhere it appears.

What shipped

  1. A complete thirty-second commercial for a product that did not exist the week before

  2. Name, bottle and label originated in-house — nothing borrowed from a real brand

  3. One presenter, one kitchen, one light — held across six cuts

  4. A single cloned voice on every line, with the closing line lip-synced to camera

  5. Captions burnt in for silent autoplay on social feeds

  6. Honestly labelled as a demo, never presented as a client campaign
