ABShrms is the human-resource system Ardens Business Solutions' workforce carries every day. Employees check in and out from the phone (onsite or remote, reconciled with the office's biometric devices), read their timesheets, regularise missed punches, apply for leave, comp-off, work-from-home and on-duty, accept offer letters and complete onboarding, and file investment declarations — all from one Flutter app that ships to iOS and Android from a single codebase. We took the app from version 3.7.0 (February 2026) through seven tracked versions to 3.8.7 (August 2026): dark mode, push reminders for daily attendance, the three-device attendance integration, and the hardening a production HR app needs — crash-free network handling, a proven token-refresh flow, and employee-friendly error copy instead of developer messages.

The Challenge

An HR app is judged every morning at check-in time by every employee at once. Attendance had to reconcile three capture methods — the phone, the office biometric devices and the web app — without a single lost punch, and every release had to land on both stores without breaking a workforce mid-month.

Our Solution

Clean-architecture Flutter with one codebase for iOS and Android; a cross-device check-in/out state model with the biometric feed as a one-way source of truth; a 401 → refresh → retry flow proven by tests; release discipline with a tracked changelog per store submission.
